Klarwin stands with the 4,400-plus volunteers of National Cleanup Day in Mureș

4,466 volunteers, 40 localities and more than 4,000 bags of waste — in a single day. Klarwin again sponsored the Let’s Do It, Romania! actions on National Cleanup Day, in the county where its main production facility stands.
On Saturday 19 September 2026, Klarwin again backed the actions organised by Let’s Do It, Romania! in Mureș county for National Cleanup Day. 4,466 volunteers turned out across 40 localities and collected, in a single day, more than 4,000 bags of waste illegally dumped in natural areas.
Why Mureș
Mureș county holds an important place on the map of our operations. Klarwin’s main production facility is at Iernut, where the systems for our engineering projects are developed and built. Backing an environmental mobilisation in the very county where we manufacture is the most natural thing there is.
Beyond the commercial sphere

A tradition, not a box to tick
The partnership with Let’s Do It, Romania! has become a tradition for Klarwin. Year after year we sponsor the organisation’s environmental initiatives, most often with our colleagues taking part directly — over time, a shared concern for the environment has pulled us out of the office more than once.
The collaboration is part of a wider programme of involvement in environmental and educational projects. In recent years we have joined several reforestation actions, contributed to the landscaping of the grounds at the “Dr. Victor Gomoiu” Children’s Clinical Hospital in Bucharest, and taken part in a number of projects alongside associations and volunteer groups.
About National Cleanup Day
What is National Cleanup Day?+
It is Romania’s largest environmental volunteering action, organised by Let’s Do It, Romania!. 2026 marked its 13th edition, and since 2024 it has been officially recognised in law, held on the third Saturday of September.
How does it relate to World Cleanup Day?+
National Cleanup Day is part of the international World Cleanup Day movement, which mobilises volunteers worldwide to collect waste from forests, riverbanks, parks, streets and other areas affected by dumping. In 2026, simultaneous actions were announced in 190 countries. Since 2024, World Cleanup Day has also been an international day officially recognised by the United Nations.
